On Calvary: Reflections on Good Friday

Celebrate the life of Jesus Christ
Who died to set us free on Calvary
No one else gave such a sacrifice
Born in a humble place called Galilee
He knew no sin but hung up on a cross
Jesus washed your sins and mine away
Only He could take away our dross
So that we might live eternally
Thank him for he is so most worthy
He bled died and rose for our holiness
Giving life for all not just for the clergy
He’s worthy of such a holy kiss
Let’s lift our hands to him in prayer
No one else will ever be so dear

Deirdre M. DeLoatch

For further reflection and encouragement read, Isaiah 53.
